Many of the beaches have simple waterside cafes and restaurants, which serve meals, snacks and drinks all day. Portugal is proud of the clean beaches which are regularly patrolled. PoolsThere is a large attractive fresh-water shared pool at the apartment open exclusively for the use of guests and a smaller pool for children. Please bring your own swimming towels. The apartment is equipped with sun-loungers and outdoor chairs for use both on the terrace and by the pool.
Night LifeThere is plenty of night life in Vilamoura. The apartment is in a quiet location, but it is only a five minute journey to the clubs, bars, restaurants and night spots of the town. You can have a flutter at the Casino, enjoy a cabaret show or watch a film at the cinema. Vilamoura is vibrant at night and there is plenty to see and do. Sports and Recreational ActivitiesIn addition to the six local golf courses, there is wide range of activities to choose from in the area. The mountains and lakes in the country to the north are most attractive. Visit the old traditional villages and towns, where Portuguese life carries on in much the same way as it did generations ago. Heritage, Land and SceneryThe Vilamoura area has been inhabited for thousands of years. Bronze age graves and Roman remains have been found. The Cerro de Vila Museum and Archaeological Site is well worth a visit.
In places, the land around Vilamoura is covered in pine forests and in others it is recovered marshland. The vegetation is varied. Unusual red coloured cliffs can be seen from the beaches both east and west from Vilamoura. WeatherNormally warm and sunny from spring to autumn. The rain, when it comes, is normally
only in winter from November to February. You can enjoy the beaches and outdoor activities
most of the year (the picture shows the beach in winter). The winter months can be chilly, but the apartment is heated. In summer,
